The UNTDA is over 30 years old, but it was only in 2010 that a serious effort was made  to reconstruct a comprehensive (1943 – 1968) Nominal List  of UNTD personnel as well as  non-UNTDs who were closely associated with the Program.  In 2014 the scope of the Nominal List was expanded to include all NavRes Cadets from the post-Unification Programs up to the present day. The Nominal List now stands at approximately 10,000 names. Anyone who has been a member of  the Canadian Naval Reserve can join the Association. In addition, anyone who is a supporter of the Canadian Naval Reserve and, in particular, partnerships with Canadian universities to train Naval Reserve Officers may also become members.

The Association has several categories of membership :

Active members – are dues paying. This is the only category of member that is entitled to vote at the AGM

Passive members – are those who wish to remain on the nominal list for the historical record and to receive periodic mailings

Private members – are like Passive members except that they do not wish their names published or to receive mailings

Associate members – are those  who have been associated with Naval Reserve Officer training in some way. They can choose to be either Active or Passive.

Honourary members – are those who have been recognized by the Association for exemplary service to the Navy.

Only Active Members pay dues. It is up to the individual to choose which category of membership best suits their needs.  But if you want to support the UNTD program’s worthiness, recognize its contribution to our citizenship, and to our collective memories of character-building service in the Royal Canadian Navy, then you will choose to be, or remain, an Active Member.

The schedule of dues is very modest, as follows:

1 Year – $25.00

2 Years – $47.50

3 Years – $70.00

Payment can be made in 2 ways:

1. Email the required amount  to rossconnell@cogeco.ca, and provide the password in a separate email. OR

2. Send  a cheque payable to the UNTD Association of Canada care of:
